Brother Raymond Landis, pastor of COLWC, recognizes the operation of the five-fold ministry within the contemporary Christian Church just as Paul outlined it in the book of Ephesians, chapter 4, verses 11-16. He also acknowledges the eldership form of church government that was established in the Book of Acts and practiced throughout the New Testament Church. The Bible says that "Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety (Proverbs 11:14)." The Council of Elders provides accountability for the Pastor. Their input ensures a broad range of experience and wisdom that benefits the pastor and thus the entire church.
